StitchFix – Take Two!

008

This arrived on Saturday. It was the day I was the sickest ever and it instantly brightened me up. Although StitchFix has that affect on me. Do you remember when I introduced StitchFix on the blog the first time? I signed up, got my package from a personalized stylist, tried on all the clothes in the comfort of my own home with my own things to style them with and sent back anything I didn’t care for in the pre-packaged UPS bag. Yes, it’s as wonderful as it sounds. And yes, you’ll be hooked the first time too!

The last time taught me a few things that I did differently.
1. I changed the price range on this fix from the last time (there’s 3 different price ranges to choose from).
2. I requested specific things that I like to help the personal stylist get the feel of the things I like to wear.
3. I also changed around some of my answers to the survey questions to give me more variety than last time.

And guess what? They listened! This box was a really good one!

Want to see? Good…because I want to show you!

The first item were these black skinny pants. This was one of the things I specifically requested because I can’t seem to find any that fit good and are long enough so I hoped someone else could for me! I really liked them but they did feel a little bit like spandex. I wouldn’t have been able to wear them to work (even Mr. C. agreed with that one) and that was one of the reasons I wanted to get black skinny pants.

Next was this adorable sheer top with little sailboats. It had a little ribbon tie on the front too. It’s a great top for the summer on those cooler nights when you’re still in shorts but need a little something extra on top. I styled it with these mint pants because styling it with shorts in January wouldn’t have been pretty (my legs are whiter than your screen right now).

Okay so the third item I LOVED. I mentioned that I really like blue and they nailed it. This top is perfect for dressing up for work and dressing with jeans and boots. I’ve already got it laid out to wear tomorrow for work!

This sweater was number four. I like that it was light weight enough that I could have put a blazer over it if I wanted but it was a little more bland than what I was going for so I passed on it. Really cute though!

Number five and the last item in my box was this necklace. Holy goodness I almost died over it when I saw it. It’s nothing like what I’ve ever worn before and I really liked the teal and gold combination. I didn’t keep it though because as much as I loved it, I didn’t think I would get very many wears out of it. I know myself too well and I know this would have been the case. Spend ($52) on this gorgeous thing only to have it fall to the bottom of the pile? I couldn’t do it.

So that’s my fix. My decisions were tough (I thought I was going to keep the whole box when I first got it) but that’s the beauty of having it sent to you and you can style it with things you already own to see if it might work!

    • Thanks so much Jessica! It’s my new go to color. And an FYI, I found a pair of black skinnies that fit like a glove this past weekend from Express. You might want to try there. They’re the only ones I can find that fit really good so far!
